Storm Damage Repair in Middleburg, Fixed Before It Spreads

A storm can lift shingles, crack flashing or drop a limb on your roof without leaving a drip inside. We find that damage, photograph it, and repair it so water doesn't quietly shorten the life of the roof you already have.

What Storm Damage Repair Covers

Storm damage repair means fixing what wind, hail, rain or falling debris did to your roof, and only that. Most of the time the roof is still sound overall. A few shingles creased in a gust, a torn ridge cap or a dented vent is enough to let water in over the next few rains.

That is why we treat storm work as upkeep, not panic. Catch a lifted tab now and you protect the decking, the underlayment and every shingle around it. Leave it, and a small repair can turn into wet plywood and a much bigger bill by the end of hurricane season.

Sometimes a storm finds a roof that was already worn out, or the damage covers most of it. Then we tell you straight and talk through roof replacement. When a clean fix will do the job, that's what you get.

What the Work Includes

A full roof walk, not a quick glance

We get on the roof and check every slope, the ridge, the valleys and the edges. We also look at gutters, vents and pipe boots, since storms hit those first.

Photos of everything we find

You get clear pictures of each damaged spot, with a note on what it is. They're useful for your records and for your insurance claim.

Temporary protection when needed

If there's an opening that can't wait for materials, we cover it to keep water out until the repair is scheduled.

Shingle, flashing and vent repairs

We replace creased or missing shingles, reseal or replace bent flashing, and swap cracked vents and pipe boots. We match what's on your roof as closely as the material allows.

Decking checked under damaged areas

Where water got in, we look at the plywood underneath. Soft or stained decking gets replaced so new shingles aren't nailed into rot.

Cleanup before we pack up

We haul away torn-off shingles, loose nails and storm debris. A magnet sweep of the grass and driveway near the work area picks up stray nails.

Signs Your Roof Took a Hit

  • Shingles in the yard

Even one shingle on the ground means a spot on your roof is now open. The ones next to it are usually loosened too.

  • Creased or lifted tabs

Wind can fold a shingle back and drop it into place. From the ground it looks normal. Up close, the sealant strip has let go, so a lighter wind later on can pull it off.

  • Granules piling up

A heavy wash of granules at the downspouts after a storm can point to hail or wind scrubbing. Bare spots wear out fast in the Florida sun.

  • Limb strikes or debris

A branch that hit the roof can crack shingles or decking even after someone pulls it off. We check the impact area from above and from the attic.

  • New stains or a musty attic

A ceiling spot or damp insulation after heavy rain means water found a path. The source is often a few feet from the stain.

How a Storm Repair Job Runs

  1. 1

    Free post-storm inspection

You phone us and we set a time for a technician visit. We inspect the roof, take photos and explain what we found standing in your driveway.

  2. 2

    Insurance, if you're filing

You decide whether to file a claim. If you do, we work directly with your insurance adjuster, show them our photos and walk the roof with them if they want. We don't act as your adjuster or tell you what your policy pays.

  3. 3

    Written scope and estimate

You get a free, no-obligation estimate that lists each repair. If the work needs a permit, we pull it and handle the inspection.

  4. 4

    Repair day

We protect plants and walkways, tear off only the damaged material, check the decking and install the new pieces. Most storm repairs take a day or less.

  5. 5

    Final check and photos

We walk the finished work, send you after photos and point out anything else worth watching on the next inspection.

What Sets the Price of Storm Repairs

Every storm leaves its own pattern of damage. We price the repair once we've been up on the roof and seen it for ourselves. Each fix gets its own line on the estimate, so nothing is lumped into one vague total. Financing is available if the repair lands at a bad time.

How much area was hit
A handful of shingles on one slope is a small job. Damage spread across several slopes takes more material and more hours.
Wet decking underneath
If water reached the plywood, those sheets get replaced. We can't always see this until the shingles come up, and we'll show you before we add it.
Roof material and matching
Shingle, metal and older discontinued products differ in cost and in how easy they are to match. Some repairs need a whole slope redone to look right and seal right.
Pitch and access
Steep roofs, tall two-story walls and trees close to the house slow the work and call for extra safety gear.
Code requirements
Florida's building code has rules about how much of a roof can be repaired before more of it must meet current standards. If your repair crosses that line, we'll explain it before work starts.

Storm Damage Repair Questions

Something not covered here? (904) 849-9795

Is the post-storm inspection really free?

Yes. We inspect the roof, take photos and tell you what we found at no charge. There's no obligation to hire us afterward.

Should I file a claim for this, or just pay for the repair?

That's up to you. Some storm repairs come in under the deductible, and paying out of pocket is simpler. We hand you the photos and the itemized estimate so you can compare and decide.

Will you meet with my insurance adjuster?

Yes. We work directly with your adjuster on storm claims, share our photos and can be on the roof during their visit. The claim decision is theirs and your policy's, not ours.

My ceiling isn't leaking. Should I still have the roof checked?

It's worth it after a strong storm. Broken shingle seals and cracked flashing often don't leak until the next few heavy rains. Finding them early keeps the decking dry and the rest of the roof lasting.

Can you match my existing shingles?

We try to match color and style as closely as possible. Older or discontinued shingles can be hard to match exactly. If a patch would stand out or seal poorly, we'll show you the options before we start.

Do you handle gutter damage from the same storm?

Yes. Bent, pulled or clogged gutters are part of the inspection. We can repair them as part of the same visit or schedule it through our gutters service.
